exploring the possibility that the mono-functional beach hut could be redesigned to produce a multi-functional, interchangeable element capable of staging a variety of uses including a beach concert, a changing area, a wind-sheltered, private sun-bathing area and a shelter during the rain. single size, pull-out, cubes in the walls offer entertainment during wet periods by providing inscribed local historical and trivial facts which double as coloured windows. the boxes can be relocated in any of the other holes allowing a constantly changing internal lighting environment and an ever-changing external appearance. the hut is powered by a wind-turbine and made from corten steel offering stability and security during the winter.
